Gin Wigmore

What an awesome way to start December, by attending a Gin Wigmore gig at the East Brunswick Hotel. The gig, joined by The Cardinals was to launch her debut album Holy Smoke. Gin, originally from Auckland, New Zealand, has a style and energy of her own. Her raspy and heartfelt lyrics were penned after a previous relationship meltdown, are a reflection of the raw emotions she felt at the time without being overly dramatic. It is a delicate balance of soul, blues and fun rocking tunes that sets her music apart from the rest of the crowd. Big things are in store for Gin so long as she keeps on doing what she's doing while still having fun!

Again, I was there with my camera to capture the action on stage. I managed to get there early enough this time to get a spot up front. The lighting was more of a challenge this time round, the lighting guy seemed to have a liking for yellow and green. Not all that ideal for photography work, however I dealt with it.
